Belgian Hare
Belgian Hares are lean, athletic rabbits weighing 6–9.5 lbs, bred to resemble wild hares with long legs, slender bodies, and alert expressions. Belgian Hares have rich reddish-brown coloring with a distinctive appearance unlike any other domestic rabbit. They are energetic, active rabbits with high personalities and require substantial daily exercise and enrichment. Belgian Hares are intelligent and responsive to their owners but can be skittish and nervous if not properly socialized. They are best suited for experienced owners who can provide adequate space, exercise, and environmental enrichment. Their athletic nature means they require strong structures and secure enclosures.
