French Angora

French Angoras are one of the four recognized Angora varieties, distinguished by having hair on their body and back of ears, but NOT on their faces. Weighing 7.5–10 lbs, French Angoras are medium to large rabbits prized for their fine wool production and calm, docile temperaments. Unlike English Angoras with full face coverage, the lack of face hair gives French Angoras a cleaner, more classically rabbit-like appearance. Their wool is exceptionally fine and soft, making it highly valued by fiber artists. French Angoras are generally easier to manage than English Angoras due to less overall hair coverage, making them a good choice for wool producers wanting a lower-maintenance Angora variety.
